What We Do

Bethanne Patrick first used “The Book Maven” as a name for the blog she started in 2004 for AOL Books. When she left AOL in 2007, she spent two years writing “The Book Maven” blog for Publishers Weekly. In 2009, Patrick decided to gather all of her endeavors under the banner of “Book Maven Media,” a very tiny but robust company that currently includes The Book Studio.

The Book Studio

The Book StudioThe Book Studio is a project of WETA.org, site for Washington D.C.’s landmark PBS/NPR station. Bethanne Patrick, The Book Maven, hosts The Book Studio, which produces weekly broadcast-quality author interview videos. Authors interviewed and upcoming include Brad Meltzer, Michael Connelly, Linda Fairstein, Chris Bohjalian, Ruth Reichl, and many more.

Barnes & Noble Centerstage

Barnes & Noble CenterStageBethanne Patrick moderates this online book club for top authors: Barnes & Noble CenterStage.

Each week CenterStage features one bestselling author with a new release — but the conversation will include all of that author’s books, not just the new one. It’s a great opportunity for to ask your favorite authors any question, but it’s even more perfect if you have a “big picture” question about how they write, what ties their books together, who inspires them, and much, much more.

New York One

New York OneEach month, Patrick appears on cable station NY1 in Manhattan to talk about great book picks for readers of all ages and stages, including kids, teens, and book groups.
